Money

What it costs, and where your payments end up.

What does PayBrisk cost?
Nothing. PayBrisk is free for now, with every feature switched on for everybody: no monthly limit on bills, your logo, saved items and the spreadsheet export. We don't take a cut. Your customers pay you directly in Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Square or cash, and the money never passes through PayBrisk. Those apps set their own terms, and some charge business accounts a small fee per payment; cash costs nothing.
Where does the money actually go?
Straight to you, never to us. Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Square and cash all go from your customer to you in the app they already use. PayBrisk shows them how to pay you and keeps the record; it never touches the money.
Which payment apps does it work with?
Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal and Square, plus cash. Save the ones you use and your own page at paybrisk.app/yourname lists every one, each with a button or a QR code, so a customer pays you in whichever app they already have. Every bill you send lists them too, with the amount filled in, and you mark it paid once the money arrives.
Does PayBrisk keep a record I can use at tax time?
Yes. Sales from your register and your menu count whichever app they came by, so Cash App, Venmo, Zelle and cash end up in one record instead of four statements. Every customer you have billed gets a page showing what they owe you and what they have paid. Your year summary shows what came in each month and by which app, with sales tax and tips on their own lines, and downloads as two spreadsheets: one by month and one with every payment. It counts what you mark paid. It is a record, not tax advice.

Getting set up

Whether it suits what you do, the register, pre-orders, signing in, and how quickly you can start taking payments.

Is PayBrisk right for what I do?
It is built for market and craft stalls, farm stands, pop-ups, food trucks and anyone else selling for themselves across a table. Your items become a menu on your page and a register on your phone: customers tap what they want and pay you in Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Square or cash. You don't need a card reader, and PayBrisk takes no fee. Hourly work and bigger jobs still get an itemized bill when you need one.
Do I need a card reader or a merchant account?
No. You don't buy any hardware or open a merchant account. Save your Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal or Square details, or say you take cash, and they go on your page and on every bill you send.
Can I take payments in person, at a stall or a truck?
Yes, that is what it is for. Claim paybrisk.app/yourname and add what you sell, and your page becomes a menu: a customer scans your sign, taps what they want and pays the total in whichever app they use while you serve somebody else. When there is a line, open Register on your dashboard, tap the items, and show the customer a QR code with the total filled in. Both keep working with no signal once you switch on offline mode.
What else does the register do?
If your market hands out wooden tokens for SNAP or Double Up, switch on Take market tokens and they get their own line. End of day adds up your sales when you pack up, and Send to your market emails the weekly total to the manager from your own email. Switch on pre-orders for an item and customers can reserve it for a market day from your page; Pre-orders lists who is collecting what. Signs print at letter size, 5x7 or 8x10 for an acrylic frame.
Can customers find me after market day, or see my whole market?
Yes. Set Where you'll be next on your dashboard, a day and a line like "Riverside market, 8 to 1, blue tent", and it shows under your name on your page until the day has passed. To put a whole market on one link, open Make a page for your whole market, pick an address like paybrisk.app/m/riverside and add each stall by its PayBrisk link. Shoppers see every stall, with the ones coming next at the top, and tap through to each one's menu. A stall that was added can take itself off.
How fast can I start taking payments?
A few minutes. Sign up with your email, claim your page link, add the things you sell with their prices and save the payment apps you take. Print your sign and you are open: customers scan it and pay, and the register rings up the rest in a couple of taps.
Why is there no password?
Sign-in is an emailed link. It works once and expires after 15 minutes. You never set a password, so there isn't one to forget or have stolen. If a link stops working, just request another.

Your customers

What the person paying sees and has to do.

Does my customer need an account or an app?
No. They open your page or the link you send, see every way to pay you, and tap Cash App, Venmo or PayPal, or scan a code for Zelle. They don't download anything or create an account.
Can I send a quote, or ask for a deposit first?
Yes. Tick Send as a quote before you send, and your customer gets the same kind of link with an Accept button; nothing is due until they press it, and then it becomes an ordinary bill on the same link. To ask for part of the money up front, open Ask for a deposit first on the bill, and the rest shows on the same link once the job is done. Both work with Cash App, Zelle, Venmo or cash.
Can I bill a regular every week or every month?
Yes. Pick any bill you have sent, choose Repeat this bill, and say every week, every 2 weeks or every month. On the day, PayBrisk makes a fresh copy and emails your customer the link; if you only have their phone number, it emails the link to you to text on. Nothing is charged automatically. Stop it from any bill in the series.
Can my bills look like my business?
Yes. Your business name and your logo go at the top of your page and every bill you send. They also carry a small “Powered by PayBrisk” line.

Rules and limits

The biggest single sale, what you can't sell, refunds and leaving.

Is there a limit on one sale?
A single sale or bill can be up to $2,500.00. PayBrisk is built for everyday sales rather than large-ticket work; for a bigger job, split it across a couple of bills.
Is there anything I can't sell with PayBrisk?
Yes. PayBrisk will not take orders or write bills for cryptocurrency, firearms, adult services, gambling and a few other categories that the payment apps themselves restrict and can close an account over. Ordinary goods, materials, tools and labor are fine.
Can I refund a customer or delete my account?
A refund goes back the way the money came: send it through Cash App, Venmo or whichever app they paid with, or hand back the cash. To leave, delete your account from Account settings on your dashboard: your bills, customers and saved items are removed from PayBrisk and your page stops working.
